I took over the accounts for my Dad’s business and needed more professional knowledge of accounts and working with Sage. My course helped me to enhance my understanding of bookkeeping processes and to spot errors in my previous work. The tutors were very patient with me and helped me to understand the course material thoroughly.” Sharon Joynes, ICB Level 2 Associate

As one of the UK’s fastest growing national awarding bodies, NCFE is the accrediting body behind Home Learning College’s Early Learning & Childcare course leading to the NCFE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce. Seen as the new ‘gold standard’ childcare qualification, this diploma meets requirements set by the (CWDC) and provides a licence to practise within a wide variety of childcare roles.
NCFE is a registered educational charity which aims to promote and advance the education and training of young persons and adults. Home Learning College's Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools is an excellent course for those with a keen interest in working within the education sector. The NCFE organisation is recognised as an awarding organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.
In 1981, the Northern Advisory Council for Further Education (NACFE) - which was established in 1947 to co-ordinate further education provision throughout the nine LEAs - merged with the NCTEC to become the Northern Council for Further Education.
When the further education sector was incorporated (made independent of the government) in the early 1990s the company felt the old name was incompatible with the new national focus. Since then it has been identified simply as NCFE with the letters no longer being an acronym.
