The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) provides a recognised Professional Qualification and membership body for Accounting Technicians. It now has over 100,000 members worldwide and 6,000 people qualify with the AAT every year. Employers - from Procter & Gamble to the NHS - acknowledge the benefits of employing AAT qualified accounting staff.

Committed to improving standards of competence and professional development in accounting and related areas, the AAT lobbies on behalf of its members. It's established as the standard for accounting technicians and is dedicated to offering extensive support to all our members and their employers through the professional development (CPD) scheme.

The AAT is sponsored and supported by CIPFA, ICAEW, CIMA and ICAS - four of the main UK chartered accountancy bodies. You may receive exemptions from these if you decide to progress to chartered accountancy.
