Michelle de Young - Sales Director
Michelle de Young joined Home Learning College in March 2009.
Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about delivering the best possible student experience, Michelle has over 20 years senior management expertise spanning across a diverse range of sectors from marketing and advertising to telecommunications.
Prior to joining Home Learning College, Michelle was a Director of TalkTalk, The Carphone Warehouse's fixed-line business, where she worked for three and a half years. During this time Michelle grew the business from enrolling 2,000 new customers per week to over 6,000, managing over 1,000 staff globally.
Her significant contribution led to the huge success of TalkTalk as the number one alternative to BT and its' growth to 3.5m customers in just three short years.
Michelle started out as a classified telephony agent for The Observer newspaper, quickly moving up the career ladder to Deputy Agency Sales Manager in 1993 when she left to take up an Advertisement Director's position with BBC Magazines. She has also worked for John Brown Publishing as part of the management team that created and launched Debenhams' first customer magazine.
Michelle has joined Home Learning College at an exciting time and is looking forward to working with the existing team to ensure that students make the right career choices for their future and receive the highest of quality advice, care and service delivery.
