Course Details

Building on the knowledge you have gained completing our AAT Certificate.  This advanced course is the next level towards an AAT Accounting Qualification through the "Diploma Pathway". 

This pathway is based on two principles, doing the actual work, not just learning theory  As well as achieving competence to nationally agreed standards so that you have full confidence in the qualification.

The Advanced Certificate level introduces more complicated accounting tasks, including the preparation of final accounts for sole traders and partnerships. You will also learn how to maintain cost accounting records and how to prepare reports and returns.

At you will have the option of undertaking further training in order to progress towards the full AAT Accounting Qualification.

Our students who have taken our AAT exam have achieved a 91% pass rate, which is 10% higher than the national average of 81%.

At the end of your course you will also be ready to sit the exam and skills test for the AAT Advanced Certificate**.

From there, if you wish, you'll be able to go on to study for the full AAT Accounting Qualification.

Assignments

You will be asked to complete and submit a total of 9 assignments and two 'mock' exams during your AAT Accounting course. This will enable your personal tutor to see your progress, offer helpful feedback, and ensure you're getting the very most from your training.

Your AAT Certificate training is spread over 7 workbooks and carefully structured to let you learn at your own pace, in a logical way. 

Each new study topic adds to the knowledge you have already gained, and you should be able to complete the entire course within approximately 240 hours of study.

By equipping you with the practical, hands-on accounting skills employers are looking for, your AAT Advanced Certificate training will prepare you for your first specialist accounting role. This could be as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Clerk, Company Cashier, Sales or Purchase Ledger Clerk, or trainee Financial Accounts Assistant. Then, with further experience and training, you will be able to progress to more senior positions paying as much as £40,000 year.
