This course covers two thirds of the full AAT Accounting Qualification, putting you in a strong position to secure a mid-level finance role, such as ledger supervisor or accounts manager.
Achieving the AAT Level 3 Diploma will also earn you 160 UCAS points, with over thirty UK universities offering exemptions onto accounting and finance related degrees for AAT Professional members.
At this point, you will be ideally placed to complete the final stage in the AAT pathway, at Level 4. This level of achievement, combined with one year’s relevant work experience, allows you to apply for full AAT membership and all the benefits that brings, including:
- Use of the letters MAAT after your name
- The opportunity to run your own accountancy practice
- Continuing professional development (CPD)
- AAT events and exclusive rates for master courses
- Online services and e-learning resources
Completing Level 4 is approximately equivalent to the first year of an honours degree, and is recognised as a non-graduate route in chartered accountancy. All UK chartered and certified accountancy bodies - including CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS and ACCA - offer generous exemptions to full AAT members.
