If you already have the AAT Level 2 certificate and are looking to advance your progression then our AAT Level 3 and AAT Level 4 combined course will help you reach the top level of the AAT study path, and open doors to a career in chartered accountancy.
- At AAT Level 3 you will consolidate your previous learning through the practice of specific accounting tasks, such as the formal preparation of accounts and cash management. You will also learn about professional ethics within the accounting sector.
- AAT Level 4 teaches you to undertake advanced activities, such as drafting financial statements for limited companies, while developing your management skills. You will also have an opportunity to choose two specialist units, allowing you to select the areas of study which interest you most.

- Level 3 and 4 qualifications – equivalent to gaining an A Level and a Certificate of Higher Education
- Accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians
- Entry requirements: Students must hold AAT Level 2 or be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge through work experience or an alternative qualification
- Nine bespoke course books covering seven units at Level 3 plus six units at Level 4 (four compulsory plus two of four optional units). Printed books are supplied for all Level 3 units plus the first four Level 4 mandatory units. Books are downloaded from the VLC once the remaining two optional units have been selected
- 13 computer based exams* sat at a local test centre
- Approximately recommended 700 study hours – as this is a distance learning course you are in complete control over how much time you commit to your studies each week

Completing Level 4 is approximately equivalent to the first year of an honours degree, and is recognised as a non-graduate route in chartered accountancy. All UK chartered and certified accountancy bodies - including CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS and ACCA - offer generous exemptions to full AAT members.
