I took over the accounts for my Dad’s business and needed more professional knowledge of accounts and working with Sage. My course helped me to enhance my understanding of bookkeeping processes and to spot errors in my previous work. The tutors were very patient with me and helped me to understand the course material thoroughly.” Sharon Joynes, ICB Level 2 Associate

Gain a deeper understanding into the minds of young people and a platform from which to progress your career with the EDI Diploma in Child Psychology online course.
Child psychology training courses focus on the unique behaviour of young people, from birth to adolescence. This Child Psychology EDI diploma course will introduce you to the factors that matter most in shaping a child’s personality and behaviour. Among other things, you'll learn how children build relationships, acquire behaviour and develop moral judgment. You'll also study in more depth the importance of play, the development of language and the biological basis of aggression.
Child Psychology online training courses allow you to study at home to gain a qualification that could underpin a career in childcare or social services.
Although the EDI Child Psychology Diploma course does not qualify you to work unsupervised in a childcare setting, it does provide you with the essential theoretical knowledge that will enhance your ability to support child development in general.
Whether you're a parent, teaching assistant, nursery assistant or child minder, this course offers useful insights that will enhance your ability to predict and manage the behaviour of young people in your care.
Child psychology online courses look at the child as an individual and the major developmental issues they will face through the early years of their life, including: how children think, the formation of attachments, the development of communication, moral and behavioural modification and the impact of home, family and school.

You will also gain a solid introduction to the field of child psychology and the opportunity to progress towards further qualifications in this subject, such as the Edexcel Advanced GCE (A Level) in Psychology or Early Years Foundation (EYFS) courses.
The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) outlines level 3 qualifications as equivalent to A Levels, denoting and recognising the ability to gain and, where relevant, apply a range of knowledge, skills and understanding. Learning at this level is appropriate for people wishing to progress to further study, work independently, or in some areas supervise and train others in their field of work.
Students are advised to ensure they are following a course of study which leads to an appropriate qualification for their intended occupation. Advice on suitable courses is available from local authorities and employers or sector skills councils.
