Before you start your placement working with children you will be required to pass a DBS enhanced disclosure check (formerly the CRB check). This is usually organised by your place of work.
Please note that Home Learning College is unable to arrange this check and students must ensure that the proper arrangements are made either personally via an umbrella organisation or via your work placement. Whilst most early years settings will be able to undertake this check, you can make a personal application through an umbrella organisation. For further details visit the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) website. Students in Northern Ireland will require a CHDS.
