This includes installing, managing and configuring the security, network and application features.
You will also develop knowledge needed to support end users on Windows 7 in a business environment.
Take your skills to the next level
The second half of the syllabus expands this knowledge to MCITP level, developing your ability to support and manage larger scale computing environments running on Windows 7.

View the Microsoft career progression pathway.
If you’re looking to develop your IT career then gaining a Microsoft certification is one of the best ways to enhance your progress. Microsoft qualifications are recognised around the world and add instant credibility to your CV.
MCTS certifications are designed to certify your expertise on the features and functionality of key technologies. You can show your depth of knowledge in one specific technology, earn multiple MCTS certifications to show breadth across different products, or build on the MCTS to earn a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification.
MCITP certifications build on the technical proficiency measured at MCTS level. MCITP candidates are capable of deploying, building, designing, optimising, and operating technologies for a particular job role. They make the design and technology decisions necessary to ensure successful technology implementation projects.
On completion of this course you can progress to study a range of other certifications including (amongst others):
- MCITP: Microsoft Server Administrator
