This course is the ideal follow on from the CIW v5 Foundations series of courses. It builds on your existing knowledge and skills and prepares you for new or enhanced roles in Web publishing. Before taking this course you should also be familiar with an operating system such as Microsoft Windows XP. Qualification

The CIW Site Designer course prepares you to take the CIW v5 Site Designer exam (1D0-520). To take this exam, you need first to have gained the CIW Associate certification by studying the CIW Foundations course. Study Details

Each new study topic adds to the knowledge you have already gained, and you should be able to complete the entire course within approximately 295 hours of study. Your course includes Case Studies which act as discussion points about real-world skills, applications and topics. These include project management issues, and the relationship between technology and business operations. There are 34 Case Studies throughout the course. Guided, step-by-step labs also provide ideal opportunities to practice new skills. There are 34 labs in total. You can also challenge yourself and review your skills in the Lesson Summary and Lesson Review sections after each lesson. Reviews are on the Virtual Learning Community.
