Understand the history of drug use and its impact on society
Drugs have been used in all societies at least since records began for a variety of social and religious purposes. Studying for the EDI Drugs Awareness certificate will develop your understanding of drug use and depressants, the history of drug use, drug terminology, drug categorisation and the main drugs laws. You will also gain an understanding of the effect of drug use on society and the workplace, as well as some of the primary methods for tackling these issues.
The increased awareness and understanding I gained from the EDI Drugs Awareness course played a key role in helping me to secure the position of manager in 2008, which was a real achievement. Taking this course through Home Learning College has re-energised my career and given me a new love for what I do."
