Pathway Options

Designed to help you fast track your career, our pathway packages combine the courses you need to gain access to the wider job opportunities and a higher earning potential.

With our AAT Intermediate Pathway you can gain your AAT Level 3 Certificate and AAT Level 4 Diploma in one course, allowing you to save money and fast-track your career. Our fast-track route allows non-graduates to achieve Chartered status more quickly than by following the university path.

Upon successful completion of the advanced level, you will be awarded the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting (level 8 in Scotland), a nationally recognised Accredited QCF Qualification (QCF number: 60068929), and become a fully qualified Accounting Technician.

Having completed AAT Level 4, and gained one year’s relevant work experience, you can apply for full AAT membership, allowing you to use the letters MAAT after your name. These letters will tell employers and clients that you’ve proven your expertise – and made a commitment to maintaining it.

Completing AAT Level 4 is approximately equivalent to the first year of an honours degree, and is recognised as a non-graduate route in chartered accountancy. All UK chartered and certified accountancy bodies - including CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS and ACCA - offer generous exemptions to full AAT members.

Following this, you will be able to progress to further study with one of the main UK Chartered Accountancy bodies to become a Chartered Accountant or run your own Accounting practice as an AAT Member in Practice (MIP).

Alternatively, your new credentials will help you climb to the top of the corporate ladder, with opportunities in many areas, including Forensic Accounting, Corporate Finance, Tax, insolvency and more.
