This Level 1,  2 and 3 IAB Computerised Bookkeeping course package will provide you with a seamless and economical route to IAB Associate status with accredited Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications from The International Association of Book-keepers (IAB) in partnership with the professional body for Accounting Software, Sage UK - two of the best recognised names in bookkeeping.

You will also receive a Sage 50 Certificate of Competency on completion, as well as certification from the IAB.

IAB Level 1, 2 and 3 Accounting for Business courses teach manual and computerised bookkeeping techniques, as well as the skills for managing day-to-day business transactions with IAB Sage 50 Computerised Accounts - the favoured accounting software for many small and medium sized companies.

  • Level 1, 2 and 3 qualification – Level 3 is comparable to studying at A Level
  • Accredited by the IAB (International Association of Book-keepers) and Sage
  • Entry requirements: Students should have a keen interest in bookkeeping and accounting with an eye for detail. A GCSE or equivalent in mathematics is desirable, but not essential
  • Six books containing 20 assignments
  • Four computer-based exams sat at home and 10 assignments
  • Approximately 390 recommended study hours – as this is a distance learning course you are in complete control over how much time you commit to your studies each week

  • It is essential that you have a PC with the Windows 2000 operating system or higher.

There are no formal entry requirements for our IAB Level 1, 2 & 3 Accounting for Business course. However it is recommended that prospective candidates have basic skills in numeracy, information technology and literacy prior to studying for this qualification.

On completion of the IAB Level 1, 2 & 3 Accounting for Business course you will hold QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework) recognised Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications in bookkeeping and will be awarded IAB Level 1, 2 and Level 3 Certificates in Computerised Accounting for Business, as well as a Sage 50 Accounts Certificate of Competency.

Your proven Sage 50 capabilities will equip you for a variety of professional bookkeeping and accounting positions, such as Ledger Manager or Sage Bookkeeper, earning up to £28,000 per annum.

Alternatively, you can progress to further study with the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and work towards a career in Chartered Accountancy.

Gaining the Level 3 IAB qualification will also make you eligible for Member status with the association, allowing you to use the letters MIAB after your name. Additional benefits of membership include:
